I have read two different positions on detixification of your body. The first make sense and that is merely that when GOD created our bodies, he made a unique and complex entity. One of the wonderful things is that our bodies detoxify themselves. That system is built in by GOD. However, given that, I still wonder if our bodies have the ability to strip down all of the crap we put in ourselves. I mean there is all the processed foods we buy at the grocery store and the processed foods we don't buy at the grocery store. I mean all of the fast foods stops have plenty of chemicals and additives that are not good for us. I eat there myself, way too much. Believe me, this isn't a case of pointing the finger. I just wonder if our bodies can handle the onslaught of chemicals and junk that we dunk in them. There is alot to be said about an onslaught of fresh fruits and vegetables combined with water, well, gallons of water. I suspect that this would take all of us a long way, but is it enough? I can't answer that really, I am not qualified.
Now, the argument for some of the different herbal detoxes can be made. If these are truly fantastic herbs from other areas of the world that we would never be exposed to, I could see there being some merit. A popular cleanse and weight-loss approach is the Acia Berry. It is harvested and sent to us from another country and it is supposed to have wonderful cleansing properties that also help us with weight loss. I think that this catches people's eyes with the , "oh, it may help your fat butt shed some pounds."
I'm not sure how that works, but there is a very simple weight loss formula that states calories burned vs calories taken in determines the amount of weight loss. However, I am not knocking the cleansing portion of these products, but the weight loss? Come on, unless you're cleaning every last section of our human septic systems, there won't be any weight loss. AND, if there is weight loss, it wasn't fat, it was crap hanging around inside our bodies we didn't need. That's cool though. Cleaning out would be good if that stuff needed to go. No arguments here.
This brings me to the present, I am ordering an herbal cleanse from my website: http://advocare.com/08122292. I am also going to check into the Acia Berry cleanse. I suspect I'll be doing them both and I will post you guys on what is happening. Afterwards, I plan on going on a vegetable, fruit, fish, water, skim milk & green tea diet. Oh, nearly forgot protein shakes. Whey during the day and casein for overnight.
Green tea is the only substance proven to spot reduce...yes, that is around the midsection. Gotta love that!
